“Big Shot”, as defined by:
Oxford Languages: an important or influential person.
Merriam Webster: a person of prominence or consequence.
Urban Dictionary (my favorite): A person who holds a great deal of clout in whatever industry/culture that they are a part of.

So what do Hootie & the Blowfish, The Office, and putting on a new pair of socks have in common? They’re all amazeballs, just like our new podcast – Big Shots with Jeremy Baumann and Friends!

Join us as we talk with some of our favorite influential people in sports, movies, faith, leadership, TV, music, and business.

We host incredible individuals who’ve achieved amazing things in life, diving into their stories and experiences that bring joy, inspiration and encouragement while we all laugh our faces off. We hope you'll find yourself laughing—and maybe even inspired—right alongside us.

Some of our guests include Today Show host Craig Melvin, Hootie & the Blowfish drummer Jim Sonefeld, Iowa State University Athletic Director Jamie Pollard and Bethel Music's Jenn Johnson.

If you'd like to be a guest shoot Jeremy a note and see what happens!

Ryan Pierce
Jeremy’s brotha from anotha motha is owner of Pierce Solutions, a talented & creative video/graphic curator, a man who knows his purpose and a a great hugger. In his free time Ryan enjoys taking care of his horses (sounds like the beginning of a bad joke….I promise you it’s not), making fun of Jeremy (he doesn’t deserve it), serving his community and spending time with his wife, Anna. We’re still unsure how that happened, but we’re guessing Ryan paid Anna’s father a large sum of money. At least Ryan’s heart is in the right place. Cause there aren’t many people in the world with a heart as big as his.

Michelle Yoshimura-Smith
When Michelle isn’t co-hosting the pod she spends time as a VP at a large financial institution. Though isn’t everyone a VP at those places? Less importantly, she’s allergic to cats yet has 3 sphynx cats name Lady Deathstrike, Rosie and Ruby. Yeah we don’t know why either. She has a bachelor’s degree in music education and can sometimes be found volunteering on the Hope+Elim worship team, alongside her husband and worship leader, Jed. She’s also on the Board of Directors for the Japan America Society of Iowa, loves going to Hawaii where much of her extended family live and in the most Iowa thing ever, is a former Bacon Queen. Most of all she loves correcting Ryan….because somebody needs to. And did I mention she loves The Office? She loves The Office.
